The Shadow Booth, a new journal of weird and eerie fiction, is currently crowdfunding. DNA magazine’s second issue, Identifying Similarities, Celebrating Differences is now out.
The A3 Review has two new online courses available. Fictive Dream has a special call for submissions and Bunbury has a call for submissions for Issue 18. Shooter magazine is still open for submissions for its next issue, ‘New Life’.

Competitions
Words and Women writing competition for women writers is open to entries, deadline November 15th, and Reflex Fiction’s Winter 2017 Flash Fiction competitionis now open, deadline November 30th.The Walter Swan Short Story Prize is now open to submissions, deadline 16 October, and the Ruth Rendell short story competition is open until December 22.

Live Lit
Talking Tales is calling for submissions for its event as part of the Bristol Festival of Literature on Oct 28th. Solstice Shorts is calling for submissions on the theme of “dusk” for its festival on December 21st.

Workshops
London Lit Lab is running a Write and Edit A Story In A Weekend Workshop, Oct 7-8th. Words and Women have launched a series of Writing Sundays in Norwich in September and October.
