Use Your Words magazine are open to submissions of all kinds; poetry, short stories, personal essays and anything in between. As an example of our sensibilities we are fans of The Moth, Raymond Carver, Angela Carter, Why Oh Why, Craig Thompson and Jane Austen, basically anything with a heart. For more of an idea read our recent issue here.

We hope to publish at least one full issue a month and also post individual work on the blog.

Pease keep submissions to less than 2,000 words.

Send word document manuscripts to alex.useyourwords(@)outlook.com and include a small bio, including any links you would like to have included.

We are also open to submissions of art work to be featured in each issue. Please send a small selection of images (no more than 5) in JPEG format to the above email.

We aim to respond to all submissions within two weeks.
