“Edinburgh’s oldest literary journal and released three times a year, The Edinburgh Review has been transforming the critical landscape since 1802. Due to an overwhelming backlog, we’re afraid we’re closed for submissions for the time being. As soon as we’ve read through all of the current submissions, we’ll open the doors again. Sorry for the inconvenience, fine writers.
Guidelines
Short fiction, novel extracts and critical essays: up to 3,000 words.
Please do not use footnotes. ‘Further Reading’ entries (which should not be referenced within the article) should be kept to less than six.

Once the magazine goes into production, an editor may get in touch regarding queries. Proofs will be sent prior to publication.”
