Telltales is a bi-monthly live free event in Falmouth, Cornwall where writers read their work to a friendly audience. Our current venue is Dolly’s Wine Bar, Church Street, Falmouth (above the Falmouth Bookseller.) Poems, stories, novel extracts, blog posts, obituaries, travelogues, memoir, flash fiction, scripts – we’re open to anything you’ve written. We only ask that all submissions are no longer than 2,000 words long and take no longer than 10 minutes to read aloud.

As well as our regular reading nights in Falmouth, Telltales has annual slots at the Port Eliot and Penzance and Splash! Literary Festivals.

Submissions are made via the form on our website www.telltales.org.uk. We aim to include a balance of poetry and prose at each event, and we especially welcome submissions by new writers.
