Talking Tales is a story-telling night run every other month in the heart of Bristol’s creative community in Stokes Croft.
Since April 2015, Talking Tales has provided a platform for writers from Bristol and beyond to share and showcase their stories in a friendly and supportive environment. It is a free event, run in front of the blue wall at Left Bank. Within 6 months, Talking Tales hosted ‘Speakeasy’, the closing event of the Bristol Festival of Literature 2015.
Stories are read, applauded, recorded and Podcast and…as if that adulation and immortality wasn’t enough…the much coveted Talking Tales badge is bestowed on everyone on the set list. Submissions for Talking Tales are always welcome, so much so there are surprisingly few rules (original works, read in 10 minutes or less). Alternatively, if you just want to come along and enjoy the entertainment, you’re very welcome too and can participate in the legendary Finish The Lines competition.
