Stroud Short Stories is an independent not-for-profit live lit event held twice a year in Stroud, Gloucestershire, UK.
Our aim is to encourage, showcase and promote contemporary Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire short story writing and writers. We’ve been going for ten years ie since 2011.
At each event ten authors read a story selected by the SSS judges from the 100 or so submitted each time.
We are currently open for submissions for our 10th Birthday event on Sunday 9 May 2021. The event will either be live at the Cotswold Playhouse in Stroud or on video on YouTube. We close for submissions on 21 March 2021. It’s free, as always, to submit and we accept unpublished and published work. The judges this time are SSS Organiser John Holland and Saboteur Award winning short story author Chloe Turner.
All the information you need is on our website
