Stroud Short Stories is a non-profit making short story event held twice a year in Stroud, Gloucestershire, UK.
Our aim is to encourage, showcase and promote contemporary Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire writing and writers. We’ve been going since 2011 and our latest event was our 17th. At each event ten authors read a story selected by the SSS judges from the 100 or so submitted each time.
We are currently open for submissions until 31 March 2019.
There’s a theme this time – INCENDIARY! – stories about heat, passion, rebellion – literally and metaphorically. The event, our 18th, will be on Sunday 19 May 2019 at the Cotswold Playhouse, Parliament Street, Stroud, GL5 1LW. Tickets will be available from Friday 12 April on the Cotswold Playhouse website.
All the information you need to submit is on our website – https://stroudshortstories.blogspot.com/
The SSS organiser is short fiction writer John Holland
