Stroud Short Storiesstroud short stories image 2 (8) Stroud Short Stories is a non-profit making short story reading event held twice a year in Stroud, Gloucestershire, UK. Our aim is to showcase and promote Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire writers and writing. We’ve been going since 2011 and our next event will be our 16th. These days we sell out every time, so tickets are only available in advance. Ten authors read a story selected by the SSS judges from the 100 or so submitted each time.

Our last event – our 15th – was on Sunday 5 November 2017 at the SVA, John Street, Stroud. The theme was ‘All you need is love. Or is it?’ Tickets sold out in six days – some five weeks before the event.

Our next event will be in spring 2018. We will open for submissions in late January or February 2018.
