About
MISO magazine is a bi-annual literary magazine established to encourage new writers at a crucial point in their career. MISO publishes poetry and short-short stories by those currently studying creative writing and/or recent creative writing graduates. We aim to provide a print-based publishing platform for new writers that bridges the gap between a university creative writing outlet and the ‘big’ literary journals.
There are two issues a year each February and August.
Submissions
MISO is always looking to support and motivate emerging talent.
If you are currently studying on a Creative Writing BA, PGCert, PGDip, MA, MPhil or PhD, you are very welcome to send your work to be considered for publication.
We are open for submissions:
from 1st October to 1st December for the following Spring/Summer issue;
from 1st April to 1st June for the following Autumn/Winter issue
Please only send work between these dates and read the following submission guidelines carefully. We cannot consider work that does not follow these guidelines.
Subscriptions
You can either pick up MISO one issue at a time or subscribe.
The magazine will be sent to you twice a year in the post in February for the Spring/Summer issue and August for the Autumn/Winter issue.
