Flashers’ Club IV – August 3 July 5
Calling all Flashers – February Flashers’ Club Jan 8
Flashers’ Club is a quarterly flash fiction open mic night. Writers read original short fiction pieces between 100 and 1,000 words. It’s open genre, and both published and unpublished pieces are welcome. We’re informal and inclusive, a great place for new writers to debut and established authors to share their work. Bring something to read, or come along to hear exciting new writing.
We feature a guest author at most events: a flash or short fiction writer who shares some of their stories alongside the open mic readers. We also give away a free litmag to one of our open mic readers at every event!
Flashers’ Club is held at Smokey Joe’s Coffee Bar in Cheltenham. There’s a small ticket fee, all proceeds from which go to the charity First Story . First Story places professional writers into schools in deprived areas to inspire children to write.
