Book Slam is the brainchild of superstar musical maverick, Ben Watt, and author, Patrick Neate. Ben has long since moved on to pastures new, but Patrick still likes to think he’s in charge. However, most of the real work’s done by programmer and publicist, Angela Robertson (whom Patrick first met at a drum ‘n’ bass gig in Tokyo in 1997. Strange but true), and experienced promoter, Elliott Jack (everyone loves Elliott. Really they do. That’s him on the left, with Hari Kunzru).
If you come down, please say hello. Patrick’s generally at the bar, Angela’s generally looking for him, and Elliott’s hunting down the pair of them. So check the bar.
