Well, it’s come around again. The fourth Hysteria Writing Competition is now open to entries in the short story (2,000 words), flash fiction (250 words) and poetry (20 lines) categories. The Hysterectomy Association, the UK’s leading organisation for women having a hysterectomy, today announced the launch of it’s third annual Hysteria writing competition.
The competition is open to any female writers of short stories, flash fiction and poetry in any genre except erotica and horror. We are looking for women writing about topics of interest to women, not about hysterectomy. Top winners in each category will each receive a cash prize and publication in Hysteria 3, due for publication in November 2014. A further nine winners in each category will also have their entries included in the anthology. Continue reading
