Crossways is calling for submissions for issue 3 and Fictive Dream has a competition call for submissions. Tales from the Forest has a call for submissions on the theme of “Limits”.

 

Competitions

The London Independent Story Prize is open for entries up to 300 words long until July 16th. The Aleph Writing Prize is accepting submissions of stories up to 10,000 words, deadline Sept 1st.

The Grist competition is open for submissions of stories of protest,deadline July 15th. The Michael Mullan Cancer Fund competition for short stories, flash fiction and poetry closes on July 20th and the Sean O’Faolain short story competition is open until July 31st.

 

Workshops & Classes

Write & Shine is holding morning writing workshops in London from July 5th. The Unthank School is offering an 8-week online short story masterclass with Tom Vowler, starting in September.

Live Lit & Short Story Festivals

The next Flashers’ Club is being held in Cheltenham on Thurs 2nd August. Story Friday is calling for submissions on the theme of “tomorrow” for its September event in Bath.
