The Shadow Booth Vol. 1, a new journal of weird and eerie fiction, is out now, and the brand new issue of Here Comes Everyone, the Brutal Issue, is out. Fictive Dream is open to submissions of stories from 500-2500 words with a contemporary feel.

Competitions

Two days left to enter the London Independent Story Prize, which closes on January 10th. The Squat Pen Rests short story competition is open til January 19th and six finalists will read their stories at a live event in Swindon on January 26th. Reflex Fiction announces its Autumn 2017 winners, it’s Winter 2017 longlist, and opens the Spring 2018 contest to submissions.
