Swanwick Summer School runs from 12-18 August 2017 and is a week-long programme for writers of all ages, abilities and genres. Featuring courses, workshops, guest speakers, panels and one-to-one sessions, it offers you the opportunity to learn new skills, explore your creativity, perform your poetry, sing, act, dance, laugh, or even write.
To win one of three free places you can enter:
- A short story up to 1000 words
- Children’s fiction up to 1000 words
- A poem up to 40 lines
The theme for all entries this year is ‘Escape’.
Prizes
A fully inclusive week at the 2017 Summer School for the winner in each category; Writing Magazine manuscript appraisal for second; and a copy of the Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook 2017 for third.
