Well, it’s come around again. The fourth Hysteria Writing Competition is now open to entries in the short story (2,000 words), flash fiction (250 words) and poetry (20 lines) categories. The competition is open to women only of any nationality, and entries are to be on a subject of interest to women, excluding horror and erotica.
Our prizes are more substantial this year thanks to generous sponsorship.
- Winning short story – £400
- Winning flash fiction – £200
- Winning poem – £200
9 runners up in each category will have their entry published in Hysteria 4, the competition anthology which will be available from November 2015.
The closing date is 15th August 2015.
Entry is to be made online, via the website: hysterectomy-association.org.uk/hysteria-writing-competition/. You’ll also find a full set of rules and guidelines for entry here too.
You can meet the writing competition judging team for each category on my personal blog at Woman on the Edge of Reality.
With grateful thanks to our sponsors Covance Clinical Trials.
