The London Magazine’s Short Story Competition

Returning this September, we are proud to announce our Third Annual Short Story Competition.

The opening date for submissions is 1st September 2014 and the closing date is 31st October 2014.

As usual, the winner will be published in a future issue of The London Magazine and the runners up will be published on the website.

The winners will also be announced at a champagne reception at the House of Commons in early 2015. The event will be a fantastic networking opportunity.

Entry fee: £10 per short story

Judges: Polly Samson and Harriet Kline

We welcome entrants from across the world  and there is no limit to the amount of short stories you can submit.

It is strongly advised that you read our publication before entering the competition in order to be familiar with the type of work we would usually publish.

The current issue can be ordered for £6.95 or for £2.95 on Amazon Kindle. Both of which can be purchased here.

The following short stories are available for free on our website:

Flowers by Mark Godfrey

The Golden Hour by Frances Gapper

Downstream the Water Darkens by David Frankel

Salt Water by Lane Ashfieldt

Rules and other information is available here.

Good luck!
