The Hysterectomy Association, the UK’s leading organisation for women having a hysterectomy, today announced the launch of it’s third annual Hysteria writing competition.
The competition is open to any female writers of short stories, flash fiction and poetry in any genre except erotica and horror. We are looking for women writing about topics of interest to women, not about hysterectomy. Top winners in each category will each receive a cash prize and publication in Hysteria 3, due for publication in November 2014. A further nine winners in each category will also have their entries included in the anthology.
Entrants should visit http://www.hysterectomy-association.org.uk/hysteria-writing-competition/ to find out more, check the rules and make an entry. Entrants can submit work in any genre with the exception of Horror and Erotica.
Last year’s overall winner, Tracy Fells said “This is a great competition and in support of a good cause. So if you are writing short stories then do have a go and enter this year’s competition.”
All three winning entries will also be published on the Hysterectomy Association website at the end of the year. And all three winners are invited to participate in a Thursday Throng Author Interview to help promote them and their work to a broader audience.
